3d shootArchery Club

The Archery club gets together Monday night from 6 till 9 to shoot a round of 3D targets.

The outdoor 3D course is set along the north side of the lake. There is about 30 targets or so. We had to remove two 3D targets for repair and will find something to put in their place.

I’ve been asked by a club member if it is ok to use his crossbow. I can’t see that a crossbow would do any more damage to the 3D targets than is done by a compound bow, so be safe, use field points only and enjoy our club.

The indoor range has a green arrow curtain that can be pulled in front of the pistol backstop. The curtain is rated for a 50lb bow using blunt bullet tip points. We have target bails and foam blocks to be placed between the targets and the curtain. This is to prevent damage to the curtain and to your arrows in the unlikely chance you miss.

On the outdoor archery range target houses have been placed at 20, 30, 40 and 50 yards. Cross Bow speed bag are installed on all of the target houses.
Good News! Broadheads can be shot at the Styrofoam blocks in the target houses. Just be careful when removing the broadheads and pulling out large chunks of the foam.

PLEASE DO NOT SHOOT BROADHEADS AT THE “CROSSBOW SPEED BAGS” OR ANY OTHER TARGET ON THE CLUB GROUNDS.
