Rules and Regulations 2023

General Rules

Important Points:

  1. Read your club By-laws.
  2. All Members MUST WEAR CURRENT MEMBERSHIP CARD while on Club premises.
  3. Always use the sign-in board in the Clubhouse, at the podium to left when entering.
 

Notes of Importance:

  1. Attend your Club meetings! Monthly meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm (December may be moved to the 2nd Tuesday depending on deer season or holiday event)
  2. The last Tuesday of each month the Board of Directors meets at 7:30pm
  3. PLEASE TRY TO ATTEND WORKDAYS!!! Everyone’s help is needed! Work days are posted/announced in the newsletter and/or on special email.
  4. Read and follow range and fishing rules (see attached pages)
  5. Key phone numbers are listed on the outdoor bulletin board. Listed are Club Officers, Directors, and Committee Chairmen.
  6. Calendar of events is also on the outside bulletin board and posted in the monthly newsletter. All events taking place at BVFG must be on this calendar. Only the BVFG Vice President manages the club calendar. Calendar of events listed on our website under calendar: www.branchvalleyfgfassoc.org
  7. Monday work evenings (seasonal) spring, summer, 5pm until 8pm. Mowing etc.
  8. Tuesday evening is Archery night 6 to10pm outdoor in summer, optional indoor range.
  9. Wednesday evening is Trap night. This event open to all members and the public. OUTDOOR RIFLE/PISTOL RANGE IS NON OPERATIONAL DURING TRAPSHOOTS.
  10. Thursday evening: Branch Valley pistol team meets. This is open to all members. Time: 7pm until 10pm.
  11. Friday evening is Jr. Rifle and 4H (Seasonal event: January-Mid April). This will be posted in the monthly newsletter with actual start dates.
  12. Special note: Branch Valley forbids the consumption of alcoholic beverages or control substances on club property. Guns and alcohol do not mix with our activities and therefore strictly prohibited. Violations in this regard including use of ranges while under the influence equals loss of membership.
  13. Key box and passing the key – If you are the only member using the range, take the key with you down to the range. When you are finished, return the key to the key box. If another member starts to use the range while you are there, pass the key to them when you leave. When you sign out, make sure the person who you passed the key to has signed in.
  14. Warning: Airport property is private. If trespassers are caught by airport or local police, you will be prosecuted. Don’t risk it. This action will result in loss of membership.
