Members Shotgun Range Rules 2023

Shooting hours

(Monday – Saturday) 7AM-Sunset
(Sunday) 9AM-Sunset

 

Eye & Ear Protection Required on firearms ranges


All Firearms on Firing Line Must Point Down Range at all times.


Firearms and Ammo Permitted on Shotgun Range:

Shotguns Only, No Slugs on this range

(Slugs to be shot on Rifle Range only)
Shot Shells Only , #7 ½ or smaller shot in clays area.


Sporting Clays Tower:

Used during Sporting Clays managed events only.

 

Shotgun Patterning Board Area:

Approach the Patterning Board only during a cease fire
Use Only Target Holders Provided - No Oversized Targets Larger than the installed backer board
All used targets are to be removed from any backers discarded in trash receptacle or take with you.
Use Paper Targets Only.
Maximum shot size will be #4. No Buckshot.


Shotgun Range Safety Points:

One Person must always be designated as Range Officer with two or more shooters on any range.
All firing is done from left or right behind thrower.
No one goes onto target field when shooting is in process.
Only the installed trap to be used to throw targets.
All shotguns behind the fire line will be empty and safe

 

After you have finished shooting:

Your Spent Shells shall be Picked Up & put in Trash Receptacle or taken with you.
Return key to the clubhouse or pass to another member yet using shotgun range if applicable
If you are last member present at range:
Lock the range gate and return the key to the clubhouse.
No Horseplay on the range at any time
Any Mishaps on the Range Must Be Reported Immediately to Club Director or Officer

 

NOTE: Failure to comply with the range rules will result in disciplinary action which may include loss of membership
